Do you want to improve your English language? ICN provides English classes for refugees and asylum seekers.

English classes are sometimes called ‘ESOL’.  This means ‘English for Speakers of Other Languages’.

Improving your English will help you to access work and communicate with people in your community.
ICN runs ESOL courses from Pre-entry to Level 1. We focus on reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

How to register for a class:

As well as English classes, we have ‘Conversation Cafe’ groups to practise speaking English and meet other people.

Women only English classes with creche:

We offer ESOL classes for mums with pre-school aged children. These classes are on Mondays and Tuesdays from 12.30pm – 2pm. The classes are free of charge. Women can bring their children to play and learn in our creche, whilst they learn English. We have a team of creche workers who are DBS checked and have experience working with children. For more details, please contact ICN on 01202 589 395.

All our teachers are qualified in teaching English.
