Policies and Governance

International Care Network (ICN) is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality and inclusive services. We believe transparency and good governance are essential in building trust with the people we support, our partners and the wider community.

Our policies set out how we work, the standards we hold ourselves to, and the steps we take to protect service users, staff and volunteers. They help ensure that our work is consistent, accountable and compliant with relevant legislation and good practice.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is central to everything we do. We are committed to protecting children, young people and adults at risk from harm, abuse and neglect. Our safeguarding policies explain how concerns can be raised, how they are responded to, and who to contact if there is a concern.

We take all safeguarding concerns seriously and work in line with statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures.

Respect, Equity and Inclusion

We are committed to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion. We believe everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, and that services should be accessible and responsive to individual needs. Our policies outline how we work to ensure fairness and challenge discrimination.

Compliments and Complaints

We value feedback from the people who use our services, our partners and the wider community. Compliments help us understand what is working well, while complaints and concerns give us important opportunities to learn and improve.

Our Compliments and Complaints Policy explains how feedback, concerns or complaints can be shared, and how these will be handled fairly, sensitively and in a timely way. We are committed to listening, responding constructively and using feedback to strengthen the quality of our services.

Good Governance

ICN is governed by a Board of Trustees who provide oversight, assurance and strategic direction. They are supported by clear policies, risk management arrangements and quality assurance processes to ensure the organisation is well‑run and accountable.
