Women & Children work:  Currently, ICN is working with and supporting 91 families within the community, on a weekly basis through English classes, creche and homework clubs.

 

Immigration & Asylum cases:  By the close of 2017, the ICN Immigration team had closed 195 cases for the year. A total of 86% of these cases had a successful outcome for clients.

 

ESOL Classes:  The Spring 2018 term is now well underway and ICN runs fourteen (14) classes during the week, based at the ICN premises. Around 57 students are learning English across these classes, with levels ranging from Beginner through to Intermediate. 

February 2018:  Syrian refugees - homes needed

ICN is helping Local Authorities in Dorset as they receive Syrian families under the government Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme. We are currently supporting nine (9) families under this scheme. We have a continuing need to find new homes for families arriving in 2018. We would love to hear from prospective landlords ASAP. February 2018:  Separated Children Seeking Asylum  (Formerly UASC)

ICN now accommodates and supports ten UASC children from Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Syria, Iran and Iraq on behalf of Local Authority Children Services. We urgently need more 'Supported Lodging Carer Families' to  increase our provision. Currently we offer £20 per day for  accommodation and food. 2018:  FREE English Classes with a creche & Homework clubs  

These are held at St Andrew's Church Hall (Shelbourne Road) on a Wednesday from 1.00 - 3.00pm followed by the homework club from 3.30 - 5.00pm 

They are also held at BCC Life Centre (Moordown) on a Thursday from 1.00 - 3.00pm. The homework club is at St John's Moordown on a Tuesday from 3.30 - 5.00pm
